Morocco records 69 confirmed coronavirus cases and 150 new recoveries

As of Wednesday afternoon, Morocco recorded 69 new confirmed coronavirus cases, bringing the total number of Covid-19 infections in the Kingdom to 4,321.

28,609 suspected cases have tested negative for the virus so far, Mohamed Lyoubi, head of the epidemiology and fight against infectious diseases department at the Ministry of Health, said during the daily press briefing.

Casablanca-Settat (25%), Marrakech-Safi (21%), Tangier-Tetouan-Al Hoceima (13%) and Fez-Meknes and Daraa-Tafilalet (12%) are the regions with the highest number of Covid-19 infections, the official said.

Between Tuesday and Wednesday, Morocco registered three deaths, bringing the total number of people who died because of the Covid-19 to 168.

The Kingdom also recorded 150 new recoveries in the last 24 hours, totaling 928 people having fully recovered from the disease.
