Coronavirus : Head of government to present Morocco’s post-May 20 containment plan

The Upper and Lower chambers of the Parliament will hold a joint meeting, Monday, May 18. During this meeting Head of government Saadeddine El Othmani will be presenting the recent developments of the containment measures after May 20.

Morocco extended until May 20 the lockdown measures imposed in March to avoid the spread of the coronavirus.

According to a joint statement issued by the two chambers, said session, which will start at 1pm, is held in accordance with the provisions of article 68 of the Constitution and within the framework of the preventive measures set to fight the spread of the virus.
