On Sunday, local media in Ceuta reported an «imminent» start of the repatriation operation of Moroccans stranded in the city since March. «The repatriation of Moroccans stranded in Ceuta will begin this afternoon. Moroccans will leave the city in stages, between today and Tuesday», Ceuta Actualidad wrote this Sunday.

El Faro de Ceuta even said that a fleet of several buses would head towards the city, adding that two hotels in Tamouda Bay would be open to receive these Moroccans, before reporting a withdrawal of these buses to garages in the Moroccan cities near Ceuta.

The two sources, however, insist on «the absence of official confirmation from the central government delegation and Ceuta».

Contacted by Yabiladi, a Moroccan stranded in Ceuta said that «there is nothing official yet». «I have also heard of a visit by the Moroccan authorities to Mdiq to prepare hotels to accommodate Moroccans stranded in Ceuta, but that too is not official», the stranded Moroccan national said.
