Between Monday and Tuesday, Morocco recorded 71 new confirmed coronavirus cases, bringing the total number of Covid-19 infections in the country to 7,023.
During a daily press, head of epidemiology department at the Health Ministry, Mohamed Lyoubi said that during the last 24 hours four new hotspots were discovered in Casablanca. He also announced that 59 of the new confirmed cases were in close contact with previously confirmed cases.
According to Lyoubi, the number of recoveries in Morocco reached 3,901, with 143 ones and a recovery rate of 55.5%.
One death has been recorded between Monday and Tuesday, bringing the total of coronavirus-related deaths in the country to 193, with a fatality rate of 2.7%.
