The remains of the Moroccan woman found dead Thursday in Melilla was buried in the city. Stranded in the autonomous city, alongside other nationals, the 30-year-old woman was buried in the city without her family and relatives knowing about it.

According to the Nador section of the Moroccan Association for Human Rights (AMDH), the deceased is called Hakima Karbani and she is from a small town called Driouch. She stayed at the makeshift accommodation set up in Melilla to house stranded Moroccans, after she was fired by a couple she worked for as a domestic worker, sources told Yabiladi.

Her body was discovered by an agent in the toilets near Plaza de Toros. No autopsy was carried out on the body of the deceased, AMDH wrote.
