National police arrested a man suspected of sexually assaulting a Moroccan woman housed in a temporary reception center near a Muslim cemetery in Melilla. The center is a refuge to a group of Moroccans who has been stranded since March after Morocco implemented a coronavirus travel ban.
According to Europa Press, police arrested the man on Tuesday at 12:30 am following the complaint filed by the woman.
The alleged assault took place on Monday at 9:30 p.m. at the Muslim cemetery. The suspect is a Spanish national who works at the Muslim cemetery.
