Morocco records 56 new coronavirus cases, 7,922 in total

As of Tuesday, June 3, 56 new coronavirus cases were recorded in Morocco, bringing the total number of Covid-19 infections in the country to 7,922.

These new cases were recorded in the regions of Casablanca-Settat (19), Marrakech-Safi (13), Tanger-Tetouan-Al Hoceima (16), Rabat-Salé-Kenitra (6) and two cases in Fez-Meknes.

Between yesterday and today, no deaths have been recorded in Morocco, the number of deceased people due to this virus since the start of the pandemic is at 206 while the fatality rate remains stable at 2.6%.

456 recoveries have been recorded during the past 24 hours, bringing the total number of recoveries to 6,866. The recovery rate reaches 86.7% which exceeds the world average.

The basic reproduction number of the virus is at 0.75 in Morocco, but it differs from one region to another.
