The Polisario Front has accused Morocco of «exporting» coronavirus cases to the Sahara. Pro-Polisario newspaer Futuro-Sahara reports that «buses full of Moroccans arrived Tuesday in Dakhla, from Moroccan cities affected by the coronavirus». It claimed that the «measure is undertaken by Morocco against Sahrawis».

Futuro-Sahara ensures that the arrival of «Moroccans» in the Sahara has «caused the appearance of new cases» in Dakhla. It explains, however, that «the three cases recorded are those of two Moroccans working in fishing, coming from a Moroccan city, as well as a Moroccan who works at a fish factory».

In March, the Front’s Secretary General sent a letter to the UN Secretary General to «draw the attention of Antonio Guterres to the dangerous situation in which Sahrawi civilian prisoners find themselves in Moroccan prisons».
