Two months after his death, the remains of Mhamed Khadad, the former coordinator of the Polisario Front with MINURSO who died in Spain, will finally be transferred to Algeria.

A committee in charge of the funeral of the Polisario diplomat announced that the remains will arrive on Saturday evening at the Tindouf airport. The committee added that the place and time of the burial will be decided and revealed later.

Mhamed Khadad died on April 1 in Spain. The coronavirus health crisis prevented his family from transferring his remains to the Tindouf camps, as Spain imposed a travel ban to avoid the spread of the virus.

A source in the Sahara told Yabiladi that the Polisario Front coordinator with MINURSO «suffered from cancer».
