Morocco records 135 new coronavirus cases, 8,437 in total

As of Tuesday, June 9, 135 new coronavirus cases were recorded in Morocco, bringing the total number of Covid-19 infections in the country to 8,437.

These new cases were notably recorded in the Casablanca-Settat region (79 cases). 35 cases were recorded in the region of Tangier-Tetouan-Al Hoceima, 15 in Marrakech-Safi, 4 Fez-Meknes (4 cases) and 2 in Rabat-Salé-Kenitra.

Between yesterday and today, two cases of death (210 in total) have been recorded in Marrakech and Tangier.

85 recoveries were recorded, bringing the total number to 7,493 and the recovery rate to 88.8%. Active cases increase accordingly, reaching 734 cases.

These cases are mainly in Casablanca-Settat (288 cases), Tanger-Tetouan-Al Hoceima (137 cases), Marrakech-Safi (161 cases), Rabat-Salé-Kenitra (85 cases) and Fez-Meknes (35 cases).
