The first group of Moroccans repatriated from Algeria were driven home, Monday, after the end of their quarantine, one of them told Yabiladi. After spending nine days in a five-star hotel in Saidia, the returnees were brought home via coaches and minibuses.

«On Monday, we returned home after the local authorities organized transportation for us», one of the returnees said. «They started with those who live far from Saidia, like those from Ouerzazate, Agadir and Zagora and then others who live in the same region», the same source added.

According to the same source, the whole group tested negative for the coronavirus.

For the record, the first group of Moroccans repatriated from Algeria flew from Algiers to Oujda on May 30 via three flights, operated by Morocco’s national carrier RAM. A second one followed the operation a week later, bringing home 300 nationals that had been stranded in the neighboring country since March.
