A man appeared this week in a Leicester court (a city in England) while stranded in Morocco. In a video link, he admitted to having indecent images of minors on his personal computer.

The man in question has been stranded in Morocco due to the coronavirus crisis. Although he couldn’t return to the UK, it was agreed that «his case could go ahead as long as he was able to participate by video link», local online newspaper Leicester Mercury reported.

The prosecutor said the Leicestershire police found a series of images and videos of minors on a computer seized from his home. «Fifteen of the images were graded by police experts as falling into the most serious category», the same source added.

The lawyer of the 60-year-old man, David Hallmark, admitted that his client «accepts the charges as they are stated», adding that a hearing will be held next month at the Leicester Crown Court.
