Covid-19 cases in the Tangier region transferred to a military field hospital in Benslimane

On Sunday morning, people who tested positive for the new coronavirus and are under treatment in hospitals in the Tangier-Tetouan-Al Hoceima region, were transferred by bus to the Benslimane military field hospital.

According to local newspaper Tangier 24, the operation started by patients staying at Al Kortobi hospital, Mohammed VI hospital and the CNSS clinic, located in Tangier. The number of active cases present in the north of the Kingdom is 192 in total. Citing the Regional Directorate of Health in the Tangier-Tetouan-Al Hoceima region, the same source added that these cases are located in Tangier (101), Larache (81) and Tetouan (10).

For the record, the Ministries of Interior and of Health announced, in a joint press release published on Saturday evening, that all active cases and future cases will be grouped in the hospitals of Benslimane and Ben Guerir to speed the lifting of lockdown measures.
