302 people arrived Saturday evening at Saniat R'mel airport in Tetouan on board two planes from Istanbul, as part of the repatriation of Moroccans stranded abroad due to the pandemic.

The two planes landed with 152 and 150 Moroccan citizens on board, respectively, making up the fourth group of Moroccans repatriated from Turkey. These repatriation operations will continue in the coming days.

As part of the repatriation of Moroccans stranded abroad due to the pandemic of the novel coronavirus, Saniat R'mel airport in Tetouan has received several flights with a total of more than 1,000 Moroccans who were stranded in Spain and Turkey, said the airport manager, Hassan Limouni.

All the necessary measures have been taken to ensure the conduct of the operation in full compliance with precautionary measures and the health protocol in force, with the participation of all stakeholders, said Limouni in a statement to MAP.

The beneficiaries from this repatriation operation boarded buses bound for hotels in the coastal area of Tamuda Bay (the M'diq-Fnideq prefecture), where they were tested for the novel coronavirus and will be confined in accordance with the health procedures in force and in the best possible conditions.
