172 new confirmed coronavirus cases were recorded in Morocco during the past 24 hours, bringing the total number of Covid-19 infections in the country to 10,344, the Health Ministry announced on Tuesday.
41 new recoveries were also recorded during the same period, bringing the total number to 8,407. The recovery rate now stands at 81.3%. No deaths have been recorded during the past 24 hours. The death toll stands at 214, with a fatality rate of 2.1%.
36 of the new cases were recorded in the Marrakech-Settat region, 23 in Fes-Meknes, 22 in Rabat-Salé-Kenitra, 21 in Tangier-Tetouan-Al Hoceima, 18 in Laayoune-Sakia El Hamra, 14 in Guelmim-Oued Noun, 4 in Dakhla-Oued Dahab, and one case in the Oriental region.
