431 new coronavirus cases were recorded in the past 24 hours in Morocco, bringing the total number of Covid-19 infections in the country to 11,338, the Health Ministry announced.
During the same period, 32 recoveries have been recorded, bringing the total number of recovered patients to 8,500. The recovery rate is at 75%, according to the Ministry.
The number of coronavirus-related deaths has reached 2017, with a new death recorded in the past 24 hours. The fatality rate is at 1.9%.
The new cases were mainly recorded in the Tangier-Tetouan-Al Hoceima region, with 168 confirmed infections. 129 of them were recorded in Tangier, 26 in Larache , 7 in Tetouan a,d 6 in Fahs Anjra.
137 cases were recorded in a hotspot in the Rabat-Salé-Kenitra. 46 cases were recorded in the city of Laayoune, 25 in Casablanca, 17 in Marrakech and Safi, respectively,7 in Fes, 6 in Sidi Bennour, 5 in Fqih Ben Saleh and 3 in Mohammadia.
