244 new coronavirus cases were recorded in Morocco during the past 24 hours, bringing the total number of Covid-19 infections in the country to 11,877.
67 new recoveries were recorded during the same peroid, bringing the total number of recoveries in the Kingdom to 8,723, with a recovery rate of 73.4%.
Two deaths were recorded between yesterday and today. The death toll stands at 220 with a fatality rate reaching 1.9%. Morocco currently has 2,934 active cases, 21 of which are in a serious or critical condition.
75 of the new cases were recorded in the Casablanca-Settat region, 30 in El Jadida, 25 in Sidi Bernoussi, 16 in Casablanca and 4 in Berrechid.
61 cases were recorded in Laayoune-Sakia El Hamra, mainly in Laayoune and one case in Tarfaya. 52 cases were recorded in the Tangier-Tetouan-Al Hoceima region : 10 in Tangier, 34 in Al Fahs Anjra and 8 in Tetouan.
23 cases were recorded in Fes, 22 in Marrakech, three in Kenitra and two in Sidi Kacem (Rabat-Salé-Kenitra), two cases in Fqih Bensaleh, two cases in Dakhla-Oued Ed-Dahab and one case in the region of Guelmim-Oued Noun.
