238 new coronavirus cases were recorded during the past 24 hours in Morocco, bringing the total number of Covid-19 infections in the country to 12,290.
93 new recoveries were recorded in the past 24 hours, bringing the total number of recoveries in the kingdom to 8,833, with recovery rate of 71.9%.
Four deaths were recorded during the same period. The death toll stands at 225, with a fatality rate of 1.8%. Morocco also 3,232 active cases under treatment.
Most of the new cases were recorded in the Tangier-Tetouan-Al Hoceïma, with 73 new infections, including 63 cases in Tangier and 10 in Larache.
Laayoune-Sakia El Hamra recorded 66 new cases, with 65 cases in Laayoune and one case in Tarfaya. In Fes-Meknes, 39 cases were recorded, 37 in Fes and 2 cases in Sefrou.
In Casablanca-Settat, 14 new cases were recorded all in the city of Casablanca. 22 new cases were recorded in Marrakech-Safi, with 13 in Marrakech, two cases in Al Haouz and 7 cases in Kelaat Sraghna.
In the Rabat-Salé-Kenitra region, 19 cases were recorded,12 cases in Kenitra, four in Sidi Kacem, two cases in Sidi Slimane and one case in Témara.
Also, 4 new cases were recorded in Guelmim-Oued Noun, three in the Oriental region, including two in Oujda and one case in Jerada, in addition to one case recorded in Fqih Bensalah (region Beni Mellal-Khenifra), and a case in Agadir (Souss-Massa region).
