Spain will open its border with Morocco only if it does the same, Spanish government spokeswoman Maria Jesus Montero said. During a press conference held, Tuesday, Montero said that her country could do that only «if there is a reciprocal agreement to let people from Spain enter the North African country», Reuters reported.

This announcement comes after the Spanish government revealed, Tuesday, that its Ceuta and Melilla borders with Morocco will remain closed until July 9.

For the record, Morocco is one of the 15 countries that will be considered safe travel destinations by the European Union, strating from July 1.
