Morocco : 164 new coronavirus cases, mainly in Safi, Fez and Tangier

164 new coronavirus cases were recorded in Morocco during the past 24 hours, bringing the total number of Covid-19 infections in the country to 14,379.

448 new recoveries were recorded during the same period, bringing the total number of recoveries in the kingdom to 10,137.

Two deaths were also recorded, bringing the death toll to 237. Morocco has 3,969 active cases.

The Tanger-Tetouan-Al Hoceima region is home to most of the new cases , with 41 new cases : 26 Tangier, 8 in Tetouan, 4 in Ouazzane, two cases in Larache and one case in  M'diq.

Marrakech-Safi recorded 54 new cases, including 43 cases in Safi, 9 in Marrakech and two in the province of El Houaz.

The Fez-Meknes region recorded 29 new cases : 27 in Fez and two cases in Meknes. Guelmim-Oued Noun recorded 12 new cases, all at Tan Tan.  12 new cases were identified in Laayoune-Sakia El Hamra, all in the city of Laayoune.

In Casablanca-Settat, 7 new cases were recorded : 6 in Casablanca and one case in El Jadida. The same number was found in Rabat-Salé-Kénitra with 7 new cases. For its part, two cases were found in Fqih Bensaleh.
