Morocco’s RAM sets up new flight program for the opening of borders

Royal Air Maroc (RAM), Morocco’s national carrier, announced on Thursday that it will set up a new flight program, adapted to the conditions imposed by the government.

After it was announced, Wednesday, that Morocco is gradually opening its borders, RAM indicated in a press release sent to Yabiladi, that there would be special flights which will be scheduled, in perfect coordination with the Moroccan authorities.

«They will concern a limited number of destinations, partly made up of routes already operated by Royal Air Maroc», RAM wrote. The new program should be ready for the end of this week for the sale of tickets, details of which will be announced.

In accordance with the recommendations of the public authorities and international standards, the national company announces that it has implemented health safety measures to guarantee the health and safety of its customers and staff. 

RAM stressed that wearing a face mask is mandatory when flying and that only handbags and bags for children and for computers will be allowed as hand luggage.

Royal Air Maroc also recalls that its services carry out, among other things, regular disinfection campaigns for planes and all spaces used by passengers from check-in to boarding. 

Similarly, «health security measures will be extremely respected during the boarding operation such as respecting the distance in the boarding area, in transfer buses and in stepladders and walkways», concludes the press release.
