Coronavirus : 289 new cases in Morocco, mainly in Tangier, Fez and Casablanca

289 new coronavirus cases were recorded during the past 24 hours in Morocco, bringing the total number of Covid-19 infections in the country to 17,015.

216 new recoveries were recorded during the same period, bringing the total number of recovered Covid-19 patients in the country to 14,620.

5 new deaths were recorded in the past 24 hours, bringing the death toll to 269. Morocco has 2,126 active cases.

Most of the new cases were recorded in the Tangier-Tetouan-Al Hoceima, with 92 infections : 78 in Tangier, 13 in Tetouan and 1 in Al Hoceima.

Fez-Meknes recorded 76 new cases : 73 in Fez, 2 in Meknes and 1 in Taza. The region of Casablanca-Settat confirmed 76 new cases also, with 72 in Casablanca, 3 in Mohammedia and 1 in Berchid.

20 new cases were recorded in the Oriental region, with 11 in Oujda, 5 in Jerada, 3 in Nador, and 1 in Driouch. Marrakech-Safi recorded 9 new cases : 8 in Marrakech, 1 in Al Haouz. 

Rabat-Sale-Kenitra had 6 infections, as well as Dakhla-Oued Dahab. Guelmim-Oued Noun had three cases, while Beni Mellal-Khenifra recorded one case.
