221 coronavirus cases were recorded in Morocco, during the past 24 hours, bringing the total number of Covid-19 infections in the country to 17,236.
301 new recoveries were recorded in the last 24 hours, bringing the total number of recoveries to 14,921.
Four deaths were recorded during deathsthe same period, bringing the death toll to 273.
Morocco now has 2,042 active cases under treatment, including 31 in serious or critical condition. These cases are spread over Casablanca-Settat (11), Tanger-Tétouan-Al Hoceima (7), Marrakech-Safi (7), Fès-Meknès (3), Rabat-Salé-Kénitra (2) and Beni Mellal-Khénifra ( 1).
Most of the new cases were recorded in the Casablanca-Settat region with 76 infections : 68 in Casablanca, 4 in Berrechid, 3 in Mohammedia and 1 in Nouacer.
Next comes Fez-Meknes with 62 new cases: 48 in Fez, 10 in Moulay Yacoub, 3 in Taounate and 1 in Meknes. Tanger-Tétouan-Al Hoceïma recorded 49 infections, including 39 in Tangier, 5 in Larache, 3 in Tétouan 2 in M'diq.
Marrakech-Safi recorded 18 new cases: 11 in Marrakech 7 in Safi. Dakhla-Oued Ed Dahab has recorded 6 new cases, all in Dakhla. In the Oriental region, 5 cases have been confirmed : 2 in Oujda, 1 in Jerada, Driouch and Guercif.
As for Rabat-Salé-Kénitra, 4 infections were recorded there: 2 in Sidi Kacem, 1 in Kénitra and 1 in Sidi Slimane. Guelmim-Oued Noun had 3 cases, 2 in Guelmim and 1 in Tan Tan. Laayoune-Es Sakia El Hamra recorded 2 cases in Laayoune.
Similarly for Drâa-Tafilalet 1 case in the province of Midelt, and the region of Souss-Massa, with 1 case in Inezgane.
