Fatima Bridle, 35, is Britain's longest-suffering coronavirus patient. She has been moved to a recovery ward after battling the disease for 130 days, Daily Mail reports. The Moroccan-British woman felt unwell after returning from a month-long stay in Mohammedia, Morocco.

She tested positive for the coronavirus alongside her husband Tracy, 56, in March. This Moroccan woman spent 105 days on a ventilator, fighting the virus. She also suffered from pneumonia, a collapsed lung and sepsis, and reportedly spent 40 days in a coma.

«They are incredible — I would like to thank every one of the doctors and nurses who have given me a chance of a new life. I am happy to be here. It feels like a dream», she told the Daily Mail. Fatima hopes to be reunited with her husband in a few weeks after they have been apart for four months.

«She's my medical miracle. To be on a ventilator that long and survive is extraordinary. I can't wait to see her again», her husband said.

By the end of April, Fatima was free of Covid but she still had pneumonia, the same source added. One of her lungs collapsed and she will never be able to breath «at full capacity», the same source concluded.
