Maghreb Association Sportive de Fez, an Omnisport club based in Fez, announced on Wednesday that six of its players have tested positive for the coronavirus.
In a Facebook post, the football team reported that the results of second screening tests confirmed the infections. The people who tested positive for the virus include players and members of the technical and medical team.
Three footballers, two members of the technical staff as well as a manager have tested positive for the novel coronavirus. The team has two suspected cases that have not been confirmed yet.
Maghreb de Fez is the second Moroccan football team to confirm coronavirus infections among its members, such as Ittihad Tanger. In June, the Tangier team announced that three of its members tested positive for the virus. In June, a coronavirus case was confirmed within the same team.
