According to the preventive measures set to avoid teh spread of the novel coronavirus, only a few travelers will be allowed to leave the Moroccan territory and under a series of specific conditions.

According to a document sent to Yabiladi, nationals allowed to leave the country are those «with urgent medical appointments» and those who have to undergo surgeries abroad. Students enrolled in foreign universities or required to complete their enrollment there in a face-to-face manner are also included in the list.

«Businessmen, managers and employees working at private companies who need to travel abroad as part of their professional activities» are also allowed to leave the country. Finally, «people justifying a requirement for family reunification» will be able to leave the territory.

For all trips, travelers must provide a handwritten request, attached to copies of their ID, passport and plane ticket.

Those traveling for medical purposes must add a document justifying the need for the trip. Students must provide a copy of the enrollment file from a foreign higher education institution. For business trips, a file justifying the trip, such as an invitation or a mission order, is required.

For family reunification, travelers must provide a document attesting that they have a direct family link with a resident abroad.
