Morocco : A Covid-19 patient tries to commit suicide in hospital

A Covid-19 patient has attempted to commit suicide, after jumping off a window of the Mohammed VI hospital in Tangier, where he was receiving treatment.

According to local online newspaper Tanger 24, the patient was depressed when he was admitted to the hospital, which explains why he tried to put an end to his life. Authorities have launched an investigation to determine the circumstances surrounding the patient's attempt to commit suicide.

The same source indicated that the incident was alarming to health workers at the hospital, who are already facing psychological pressure as a result of the conditions under which they work.
