500 new coronavirus cases were recorded in Morocco during the past 24 hours, bringing the total number of Covid-19 infections in the country to 21,387.
513 new recoveries were recorded in the past 24 hours, bringing the total number of recoveries in the kingdom to 17,066.
Eleven (11) deaths were recorded between yesterday and today. The total number of deaths related to Covid-19 reached 327.
Morocco now has 3,994 active cases under treatment, most of them are in the region of Tangier-Tétouan-Al Hoceïma (1,225), Casablanca-Settat (1,199), Fès-Meknes (755), Marrakech-Safi (419) and Rabat-Salé-Kénitra (176).
68 of these cases are in serious or critical condition because of age and / or chronic illnesses, including 7 on ventilators. These cases are located in Casablanca-Settat (22), Marrakech-Safi (19), Tanger-Tétouan-Al Hoceïma (15), Fès-Meknes (10) and Rabat-Salé-Kénitra (2).
Most of the new cases were recorded in the Casablanca-Settat region, with 165 new infections : 73 in Casablanca, 55 in Settat, 24 cases in Berrchid, 4 cases in Nouaceur, 4 cases in Mediouna, 3 in Mohammedia and two case in Benslimane.
Next comes Fès-Meknes, with 161 new cases : 117 in Fez, 30 in Meknes, 8 cases in Sefrou, 3 in Moulay Yacoub, one case in Boulmane, one case in El Hajeb and one case in Taza.
Marrakech-Safi recorded 65 new cases : 63 in Marrakech and 2 cases in Essaouira.
In Tangier-Tétouan-Al Hoceïma, 48 new cases were recorded : 23 in Tangier, 16 in Tetouan, 4 in Al Hoceima, two cases in Larache, two cases in Ouazzane and one case in M'diq-Fnideq.
For its part, Rabat-Salé-Kénitra confirmed 38 new cases : 14 in Sidi Kacem, 10 in Kénitra, 8 in Rabat, 3 in Salé, 2 cases in Témara and one case in Khmissat.
8 new cases were confirmed in Drâa-Tafilalet : 4 in Errachidia, 3 in Ouarzazate and one case in Tinghir.
In the Oriental region, 7 cases were confirmed (6 in Oujda and one case in Taourirt) while 4 others were identified in Beni Mellal-Khénifra : 3 in Khénifra and one case in Beni Mellal. Four cases were recorded in Agadir (Souss-Massa).
