Coronavirus : Industrial units in Tangier to close their doors until August 12

Local authorities in Tangier decided on Tuesday to close industrial units in the city from July 29 to August 12.

This decision was taken during a meeting between heads of industrial units and Mohamed Mhidia, the Wali of Tanger-Tétouan-Al Hoceima region, Alyaoum24 reported.

Tanja 24 wrote that the topic has already been discussed during a meeting held on Monday. «The Wali suggested that it is important to suspend production activities within factories, temporarily, to stem the spread of Covid-19», it added.

«This is by no means an obligation» but rather a «suggestion to all operators who can stop production», Adil Rais, president of CGEM-North, told L’Economiste.
