Local authorities in Tangier are studying the possibility of sending Covid-19 patients to the city’s university campus.

Well-informed sources told Tanja 24 that the growing number of infections and the crowded hospitals in the city have pushed the local authorities to consider the idea.

The university campus is one of the many places that could accomodate Covid-19 patients, as it includes rooms and separate beds.

The same source recalls that Tangier is currently considered one of the Moroccan cities most affected by the coronavirus.

Last week, the Tangier authorities decided to turn the city’s stadium into a Covid-19 facility.
