Algeria is relaunching its «neighboring countries» solution for the Libyan crisis. The country is preparing for a meeting, bringing together foreign ministers from Algeria, Tunisia and Egypt, daily newspapers El Khabar reports.
Eventually, the next meeting of this group could include other regional actors. On January 23 and following the participation of President Abdelmadjid Tebboune in the Berlin conference, held on January 19, Algiers had also invited foreign ministers from Chad, Sudan and Niger as well as Mali, but without Morocco, to join their counterparts in the Troika to examine the Libyan crisis.
Morocco welcomed, on July 27, Saleh Aguila, President of the Libyan Parliament (East) who came to present his peace initiative, and Khalid Al Machri, President of the High Council of State (West). The two enemy brothers had separate talks with the Minister of Foreign Affairs, Nasser Bourita.
