1,018 new coronavirus cases were recorded in Morocco during the past 24 hours, bringing the total number of Covid-19 infections in the country to 30,662.
995 new recoveries were recorded in the past 24 hours, bringing the total number of recoveries in the Kingdom to 21,548.
12 deaths were recorded between yesterday and today, bringing the total number of deaths to 461. These deaths were recorded in Casablanca (5), Fez (4), Rabat (1), Tangier (1) and Marrakech (1).
Morocco now has 8,653 active cases under treatment, most of them are in the regions of Casablanca-Settat (2,242), Tanger-Tétouan-Al Hoceïma (2,094), Fez-Meknès (1 865) and Marrakech-Safi (1,039).
127 cases are in serious or critical conditions due to age and / or chronic illnesses, 23 of whom are on ventilators. These cases are located in Casablanca-Settat (46), Marrakech-Safi (33), Tanger-Tétouan-Al Hoceïma (23), Fès-Meknès (11), Rabat-Salé-Kénitra (11) and Souss-Massa (3).
The Casablanca-Settat region comes first with 309 new cases : 363 in Casablanca, 34 in Mohammedia, 2 in Berrchid and one case in Benslimane. Next comes Tanger-Tétouan-Al Hoceïma, with 294 cases : 256 in Tangier, 33 in Tetouan, 3 in Al Hoceima, one in M’diq-Fnideq and one in Larache.
In Fez-Meknes, 197 cases were recorded : 110 in Fez, 45 in Sefrou, 20 cases in Meknes, 12 in Taza, 6 in El Hajeb, 3 in Taounate and one case in Moulay Yacoub. 80 cases were recorded in Rabat-Salé-Kénitra : 25 in Témara, 21 in Salé, 21 in Rabat, 5 cases in Sidi Kacem, 4 in Kénitra and 4 cases in Sidi Slimane.
For its part, Marrakech-Safi recorded 36 new cases : 35 in Marrakech and one case in Safi.
In Drâa-Tafilalet, 31 new cases were recorded :19 in Ouarzazate, 8 in Midelt, 3 in Zagora and one case in Errachidia.
In the Oriental region, 22 new cases were recorded : 6 cases in Jerada, 6 in Oujda, 6 in Taourite, two cases in Nador, one case in Guercif and one case in Figuig.
Beni Mellal-Khénifra recorded 18 cases (13 in Beni Mellal and 5 in Khouribga) while 11 cases were recorded in Souss-Massa (5 in Inzeggane, 3 cases in Tiznit and 3 in Taroudant).
7 new cases in Dakhla (Dakhla-Oued Ed-Dahab), 7 cases in Laâyoune (Laâyoune-Sakia El Hamra), 4 cases in Guelmim and two cases in Tan Tan (Guelmim-Oued Noun).
