Five new coronavirus cases and one death recorded in the Tindouf camps

Five new coronavirus cases were recorded in the Tindouf camps, according to the Polisario Front’s leadership. The spokesperson for the «National Committee for the Prevention of the Coronavirus» announced 5 new infections, bringing the total number of Covid-19 cases in the Tindouf camps to 10.

Mohamed Salem Cheikh said that two new recoveries were recorded in the last 48 hours, and one coronavirus-related death was recorded.

Two days ago, doctors operating in the Tindouf camps denied the reassuring version of the Polisario. They referred to the worrying situation in the camps, talking about several infections and deaths.

The health official at the «Smara camp» himself acknowledged a «worrying spread of the coronavirus» in this camp, confirming «positive cases and proven deaths by Covid-19».
