1,230 new coronavirus cases were recorded in Morocco during the past 24 hours, bringing the total number of Covid-19 infections in the country to 33,237.
1,157 new recoveries were recorded in the past 24 hours, bringing the total number of recoveries in the Kingdom to 23,347.
18 deaths were recorded between yesterday and today, bringing the total number of deaths to 480. These deaths were recorded in Casablanca (6), Tanger (5), Fès (5), Nador (1) et Agadir (1)
On the other hand, 18 deaths are to be deplored, bringing to 498 the number of people who died due to Covid-19. "These deaths were recorded in Casablanca (6), Tangier (5), Fez (5), Nador (1) and Agadir (1)", he detailed.
Morocco has 9,392 active cases under treatment, most of them are in the regions of Casablanca-Settat (2,499), Tanger-Tétouan-Al Hoceïma (2,215), Marrakech-Safi (1,633 ) and Fez-Meknes (1,532).
116 cases of them are in serious or critical conditions because of age and / or chronic diseases, including 46 on ventilators. These cases are located in Casablanca-Settat (40), Marrakech-Safi (31), Tanger-Tétouan-Al Hoceïma (17), Fez-Meknès (13), Rabat-Salé-Kénitra (12), Souss-Massa (1 ), Béni Mellal-Khénifra (1) and the Oriental (1).
The Casablanca-Settat region comes first with 411 new cases : 367 in Casablanca, 20 in Mohammedia, 16 in Mediouna and 8 in El Jadida.
Next comes Marrakech-Safi with 335 cases : 314 in Marrakech, 11 in Youssoufia, 6 in Safi, 2 cases in the province of Rhamna and 2 others in the province of El Haouz.
In Fez-Meknes, 171 cases were recorded : 91 in Fez, 38 in Meknes, 24 in Moulay Yacoub, 11 in Taza, 5 in Ifrane, one case in El Hajeb and another in Sefrou.
Tanger-Tétouan-Al Hoceïma recorded 144 new cases : 131 in Tangier, 6 in Ouazzane, 5 in Tétouan, one case in Larache and another in M'diq-Fnideq.
For its part, Rabat-Salé-Kénitra recorded 71 cases : 28 in Salé, 17 in Rabat, 10 in Témara, 7 in Khmissat, 5 in Sidi Kacem, 3 in Kénitra and one case in Sidi Slimane.
55 cases were recorded in Drâa-Tafilalet (27 cases in Ouarzazate, 14 in Tinghir, 5 cases in Zagora, 5 in Errachidia and 4 cases in Midelt) while 27 cases were recorded in Beni Mellal-Khénifra (17 in Beni Mellal, 7 cases in Azilal and 3 cases in Fqih Bensaleh).
6 cases were recorded in Souss-Massa (3 cases in Tiznit, one case in Agadir Idda-Ou-Tanan, one case in Tata and one case in Taroudant), 5 cases in Dakhla (Dakhla-Oued Ed-Dahab ), 4 cases in the Oriental (two in Jerda, one case in Nador and one case in Figuig) and one case in Tan Tan (Guelmim-Oued Noun).
