In Casablanca, local authorities imposed a lockdown on a neighborhood in the Hay Mohammadi district, following the discovery of new coronavirus hotspot at Hay Meshroue. Other surrounding neighborhoods would be subjected to the same measure, well-informed sources told French-language newspaper Le360.
A few hours before the strengthening of these health measures to prevent a new large-scale spread of the virus, the same source indicated that the Tihad de Casablanca (TAS), one of the first clubs affected by the virus, had 9 new cases within its A team. On Monday August 10, all members of the team were thus subjected to screening tests.
