During a webinar organized by the Moroccan Society of Medical Sciences (SMSM), Saadia Motaouakkil, president of the Council of the South Order of Pharmacists (COSP), indicated that «pharmacists can conduct screening tests if the ministry considers it necessary to increase the number of tests», by carrying them out in pharmacies.
«Pharmacists are ready to educate and raise awareness among citizens regaridng the gravity of the situation. Faced with this weariness and slackening that we see, pharmacists are called to get involved and we are ready to develop educational posters with a QR code for reference centers so that citizens can orient themselves and their families», Motaouakkil said.
The president of the Council of the South Order of Pharmacists also stressed that there are 12,000 pharmacies throughout the country. «So let's make the most of these spaces and strengthen the role» in the fight against the coronavirus, she concluded.
