Following in the footsteps of Sweden and the Netherlands, Switzerland has decided to impose an entry ban on the residents of Morocco, due to the coronavirus heath crisis.

Morocco has become part of the list published and updated by the Switzerland’s Federal Department of Justice and Police. The ban to start on August 16.

«Nationals from Andorra, Australia, Bulgaria, Canada, Cyprus, South Korea, Croatia, Georgia, Ireland, Japan, Monaco, New Zealand, Romania, Rwanda, San Marino, Thailand, Tunisia, Uruguay and the Vatican can enter Switzerland under the same conditions as before the coronavirus crisis but may however be subject to quarantine», wrote 24heures.

The decision comes after Morocco was removed from the European Union’s travel list of safe countries, published and frequently updated based on the epidemiological situation.
