1,069 new coronavirus cases were recorded in Morocco during the past 24 hours, bringing the total number of Covid-19 infections in the country to 43,558.
597 new recoveries were recorded in the past 24 hours, bringing the total number of recoveries in the Kingdom to 29,941.
23 deaths were recorded between yesterday and today, bringing the total number of deaths to 681. These deaths were recorded in Marrakech (7), Casablanca (3), Tangier (3), Errachidia (2), Fès (2), Agadir (1), Meknès (1), Nador (1), Oujda (1), Tan Tan (1) and Salé (1).
Morocco now has 12,936 active cases, most of which are in the regions of Casablanca-Settat (4,505), Marrakech-Safi (2,363), Fez-Meknes (1,538), Tangier-Tétouan-Al Hoceïma (1,342) and Rabat-Salé-Kénitra (1,197).
189 of these cases are in a serious or critical condition because of age and / or chronic diseases, including 50 on ventilators. These cases are located in Casablanca-Settat (56), Tanger-Tétouan-Al Hoceïma (46), Marrakech-Safi (36), Fez-Meknès (17), Rabat-Salé-Kénitra (12), Drâa-Tafilalet (9 ), Souss-Massa (4), the Oriental (6), Dakhla-Oued Ed-Dahab (2) and Beni Mellal-Khénifra (1).
Casablanca-Settat region comes first with 263 new cases : 218 in Casablanca, 14 in Nouceur, 11 in Settat, 8 in El Jadida, 7 in Mohammedia, 3 in Mediouna and 2 in Berrchid. Next comes Fez-Meknes, with 214 infections : 79 in Fez, 45 in Taza, 35 in Meknes, 19 in El Hajeb, 18 in Sefrou, 14 cases in Taounate, 3 in Ifrane and one case in Moulay Yacoub.
189 cases were recorded in Marrakech-Safi : 99 in Marrakech, 67 in Youssoufia, 8 in El Haouz, 7 in Kelaa des Sraghna, 4 in Rhamna, two cases in Chichaoua and two cases in Essaouira.
Beni Mellal-Khénifra, for its part, recorded 120 new cases : 47 in Beni Mellal, 31 in Fqih Bensaleh, 23 in Azilal, 15 in Khouribga and 4 cases in Khénifra.
In Tanger-Tétouan-Al Hoceima, 94 new cases were recorded : 34 in Tétouan, 25 in Tanger-Assilah, 15 in Ouzzane, 14 in Larache, 4 cases in Mdiq-Fnideq and two cases in Al Hoceima.
82 cases were confirmed in Rabat-Salé-Kénitra : 27 in Salé, 15 in Kénitra, 15 in Rabat, 13 in Skhirat-Témara, 9 cases in Khmissat, two in Sidi Slimane and one case in Sidi Kacem.
34 cases were recorded, during the last 24 hours in Drâa-Tafilalet (25 in Ouarzazate, 7 in Tinghir and two cases in Zagora), 24 cases in Souss-Massa (10 in Taroudant, 5 cases in Agadir Idda-Ou-Tanan, 4 cases in Tiznit, two cases Inzeggane-Ait-Melloul, two cases in Tata and one case in Chtouka-Ait-Baha).
22 cases were recorded in the Oriental region (12 in Oujda-Angad, three cases in Figuig , three cases in Taourirt, two cases in Berkane and two cases in Jerada).
16 cases were confirmed in Dakhla (Dakhla-Oued Ed-Dahab) and five cases in Laayoune and one case in Smara (Laâyoune-Sakia El Hamra). Two cases were found in Sidi Ifni, one case in Assa Zag and one case in Guelmimn (Guelmim-Oued Noun).
