Ahmed Zefzafi announced that his son detained in Ras El Ma prison has started a hunger strike, alongside fellow Hirak detainee Nabil Ahamjik. Both sentenced to twenty years in prison, the two men have been on a hunger strike since Friday, protesting against pressures they say they are subjected to from the prison administration.

In a Facebook live, Ahmed Zefzafi said that his son and Ajamjik started the hunger strike after they asked to be transferred to the Selouane prison in Nador.

According to Ahmed Zefzafi, the two activists also asked for books and newspapers, to be able to go out and to have a better food. Since they started their hunger strike, «they have been placed in individual cells», warned the father.
