Wydad Athletic Club, also known as WAC Casablanca, announced, Wednesday that five of its players and technical staff have tested positive for the coronavirus.
In a Facebook post, the club revealed that «the tests undergone by its members showed five infections». Reassuring its fans, the club stressed that the cases are stable.
Other players and members of the club’s technical staff tested positive for the virus on Friday August 14. Their state of health is improving and they are soon going to undergo a second test.
WAC stressed, since the emergence of new cases of coronavirus within the club, that «all measures and precautions recommended by the health services have been taken, in particular by subjecting the team to medical confinement in a Casablanca hotel».
On Friday, Wydad announced that five of its players have tested positive for Covid-19.
