The Ministry of National Education has made ada decision regarding the next school year.

As part of the precautionary measures aimed at limiting the spread of the coronavirus (Covid-19), the Ministry of National Education, Vocational Training, Higher Education and Scientific Research has developed an integrated management plan.

Said plan will be put in place depending on the evolution of the epidemiological situation in our country, indicates a press release from the ministry.

The ministry thus informs all students and teachers that it has decided to adopt distance learning as an educational option for the start of the 2020-21 school year, which begins on September 7 for all levels in all public and private schools, including foreign-system schools.

Distance learning vs. in-class learning

The press release indicates that face-to-face education will be made available for students whose parents elect such option.

In addition, in order to preserve the health and safety of these students and the educational staff, the ministry promises to put in place the appropriate conditions through the implementation of a strict health protocol which takes into account compliance with the preventive measures and precautions set by the health authorities.

The press release specifies that it is possible at any time during the 2020-21 school season, depending on the evolution of the epidemiological situation in Morocco and the changes that may occur in the future, to adapt the educational scheme in accordance with the evolution of the local sanitary situation.

The press release also specifies that the regional standardized examination for the first year of the baccalaureate has been postponed to a later date.
