Speaking Sunday, Moroccan Prime Minister Saadeddine El Othmani rejected any normalization of relations with Israel.

«We refuse any normalization with the Zionist entity because this emboldens it to go further in breaching the rights of the Palestinian people», El Otmani told his Islamist PJD party during its 16th national youth forum.

El Othmani’s remarks come as Jared Kushner, Donald Trump’s senior adviser and son-in-law, is expected to visit Morocco after the UAE and Israel concluded a deal to normalize ties.

Kushner’s visit will be preceded by that of US Secretary of State Mike Pompeo. The latter landed in Israel on Monday and is expected to visit Sudan, Bahrain and the United Arab Emirates as part of the Trump administration plan to «capitalize» on the UAE and Israel agreement, Times of Israel indicates.

Following said agreement, Israeli media reported last week that Morocco could be next on the list of Arab states planning to normalize diplomatic ties with Israel.

US officials claimed that the Kingdom could consider normalizing ties with Israel to seek «American recognition of its sovereignty over Western Sahara», the same source concluded.
