Rabat's Fath Union Sport (FUS) announced on Tuesday that 13 of its players and technical team’s members have tested positive for the coronavirus.
In a press release published on its official website, FUS revealed that 10 players have Covid-19 and three members of the club’s technical staff tested positive for the coronavirus.
«Following the health measures approved by the competent authorities, the positive cases, in addition to the rest of the group and the crew, will be subjected to a period of confinement, while new screening tests will be carried out in the coming days», the club promised.
«The Rabat’s Fath Union Sport urges its fans all Moroccans to respect the preventive measures approved by the health authorities».
FUS is not the only Moroccan football club to announce positive cases among its players and staff. The Ittihad of Tangier, the Wyadad of Casablanca, the Raja of Beni Mellal, KACM of Marrakech and the Moghreb of Fez announced several cases of infection.
