1,276 new coronavirus cases were recorded in Morocco during the past 24 hours, bringing the total number of Covid-19 infections in the country to 54,528.
815 new recoveries were recorded in the past 24 hours, bringing the total number of recoveries in the Kingdom to 38,293.
35 deaths were recorded between yesterday and today, bringing the total number of deaths to 955. These deaths were recorded in Casablanca (12), Marrakech (6), Tangier (3), Fès (2), Zagora (2), Meknès (1), Taounate (1), Guercif (1), Beni Mellal (1 ), Khénifra (1), Errachidia (1), Ouarzazate (1), Tétouan (1), Kelaa des Sraghna (1) and Laâyoune (1).
The country now has 15,280 active cases under treatment. They are mainly located in Casablanca-Settat (5,802), Marrakech-Safi, Rabat-Salé, Fès-Meknes, Beni Mellal-Khénifra and Tanger-Tétouan-Al Hoceïma (899).
The number of critically ill patients has dropped to 171 cases, including 32 on ventilators.
The Casablanca-Settat region has 400 new cases: 311 in Casablanca, 30 cases in Settat, 17 in Nouaceur, 12 in Mohammedia, 9 in El Jadida, 9 in Mediouna, 7 in Berrchid, 3 cases in Sidi Bennour and two cases in Benslimane.
Next comes Marrakech-Safi with 176 new cases: 96 in Marrakech, 23 in Kelaa des Sraghna, 23 in Rhamna, 14 in Chichaoua, 12 cases in Essaouira and 8 cases in Youssoufia.
In Fez-Meknes, 140 new cases were recorded in the last 24 hours: 72 in Fez, 37 in Boulmane, 12 in Taza, 10 in Meknes, 4 in El Hajeb, 3 in Sefrou and two cases in Taounate. In addition, 140 cases were recorded in Beni Mellal-Khénifra: 68 in Azilal, 25 in Beni Mellal, 20 in Khénifra, 18 in Khouribga and 9 cases in Fqih Bensaleh.
Rabat-Salé-Kénitra follows with 122 new infections: 49 in Salé, 17 in Skhirat-Témara, 16 in Kénitra, 14 cases in Sidi Kacem, 12 in Rabat, 11 in Sidi Slimane and three cases in Khmissat. In addition, 112 cases were recorded in Drâa-Tafilalet: 57 in Errachidia, 21 in Ouarzazate, 21 in Zagora and 13 cases in Midelt.
Tangier-Tétouan-Al Hoceima confirmed 84 cases: 39 in Tangier, 22 in Tetouan, 15 in M'diq-Fnideq and 8 cases in Larache.
There are also 45 cases recorded in the Oriental (13 in Guercif, 10 cases in Nador, 10 cases in Oujda-Angad, 6 cases in Berkane, 5 in Figuig and one case in Taourirt), 27 cases identified in Souss -Massa (11 cases in Inzeggane-Ait Melloul, 8 cases in Tata, 5 cases in Agadir-Idda-Outanane, 2 cases in Chtouka Ait Baha and one case in Tiznit).
In the southern provinces, 22 cases were recorded in Dakhla-Oued Ed-Dahab (all in Dakhla), 6 in Laâyoune-Sakia El Hamra (4 in Es-Smara and two in Laâyoune) and two cases in Guelmim-Oued Noun (all in Guelmim).
