1,336 new coronavirus cases were recorded in Morocco during the past 24 hours, bringing the total number of Covid-19 infections in the country to 55,864.
2,293 new recoveries were recorded in the past 24 hours, bringing the total number of recoveries in the Kingdom to 40,586.
29 deaths were recorded between yesterday and today, bringing the total number of deaths to 984. These deaths were recorded in Casablanca (5), Marrakech (3), Errachidia (3), Fez (3), Meknès (2), Al Hoceima (2), Agadir (1), Tiznit (1), Tangier (1 ), Tan Tan (1), Taounate (1), Khouribga (1), Youssoufia (1), Kelaa des Sraghna (1), Rabat (1), Benslimane (1) and Taza (1).
The country now has 14,294 active cases under treatment. They are mainly located in Casablanca-Settat, Marrakech-Safi, Rabat-Salé, Fès-Meknes and Beni Mellal-Khénifra. The number of critically ill patients has reached 193 cases, including 33 on ventilators.
Casablanca-Settat region has 549 new cases : 424 in Casablanca, 36 in Nouaceur, 30 in Mohammedia, 29 in El Jadida, 15 in Mediouna, 9 cases in Berrechid, three cases in Settat and three in Benslimane.
Next comes Marrakech-Safi with 201 new cases : 153 in Marrakech, 19 in Safi, 14 cases in Kelaa des Sraghna, 11 in Essaouira, two cases in Chichaoua and two in the province of Rhamna.
In Fez-Meknes, 126 new cases were confirmed in the last 24 hours : 69 in Fez, 27 in Meknes, 16 in Boulmane, 11 in El Hajeb and three cases in Ifrane.
Rabat-Salé-Kénitra follows with 115 new infections : 32 in Rabat, 28 in Salé, 28 in Kénitra, 19 cases in Skhirat-Témara, 4 cases in Sidi Kacem, 3 in Sidi Slimane and one case in Khemisset.
108 cases were recorded in Beni Mellal-Khénifra: 40 in Khouribga, 23 in Khénifra, 18 in Azilal, 18 cases in Beni Mellal and 9 cases in Fqih Bensaleh.
Tanger-Tétouan-Al Hoceima recorded 99 cases : 55 in Tangier, 27 in Tétouan, 6 in Larache, 5 in M'diq-Fnideq, three cases in Al Hoceima, two in Ouazzane and one in Chefchaouen. .
51 cases were recorded in the Oriental region (18 in Figuig, 18 in Guercif, 8 in Nador, 4 in Oujda-Angad and three cases in Berkane), 39 cases in Drâa-Tafilalet (18 in Ouarzazate, 8 in Errachidia, 8 cases in Midelt and 5 cases in Tighir) and 19 cases in Souss-Massa (9 in Agadir-Idda-Outanane, 6 cases in Inzegane-Ait Melloul, 2 cases in Chtouka Ait Baha, one case in Tata and another in Tiznit).
In the southern provinces, 14 cases were confirmed in Dakhla-Oued Ed-Dahab (all in Dakhla), 13 in Laayoune-Sakia El Hamra (12 in Laayoune and one case in Tarfya) and 2 cases in Guelmim-Oued Noun (all in Guelmim).
