Moroccan journalist Abdellah Imassi has won the Telly Awards 2020 bronze award. The Washington-based investigative journalist, who works for the Middle East Broadcasting Network (MBN) was awarded for his investigative work on the killing of protesters in Sudan «Who is Kills Protestors in Sudan?».
The piece focused on the killings committed under the Omar al-Bashir regime. It also sheds light on the 2013 protests that led to the death of several protesters.

Abdellah Imassi obtained his bachelor's degree in Media studies in 2007. He debuted his career in journalism at 2M, where he worked as an editor-in-chief, until his departure in 2009. He joined MBN in 2013, where he became a producer for the Investigations team.
Since 1979, the Telly Awards have honored excellence in video and television across all screens each year.
