Siemens Gamesa Renewable Energy has received an order to supply a 301-megawatt (MW) wind farm project in Morocco with wind turbines, the Spain-headquartered company said on Wednesday.
Zawya, which quotes a bourse statement by the company, reports that the new «contract was awarded to one of its affiliate companies by the Nareva-ENEL Green Power consortium». The same statement did not reveal the contract value.
The wind farm in question is located in Boujdour, in the South of Morocco and it is part of an 850 MW tender awarded to consortium in 2016.
The contract includes the supply, transport, installation, commissioning and testing of 87 units of the «SG 3.4-132 wind turbine and a 5-year service agreement», the same source added.
The project is to be commissioned by the end of the third quarter of 2022.
