A Moroccan wanted by Interpol arrested in Gibraltar

On Monday, authorities in Gibraltar arrested a 53-year-old Moroccan residing in Belgium based on an arrested warrant issued by the Moroccan authorities for his alleged involvement in a drug trafficking network.

According to Europa Sur, the arrestee was the subject of an arrest warrant issued by Interpol at the request of the Moroccan government. The man was sent to a court in Gibraltar on Wednesday.

The arrest of the Moroccan citizen came after the Border Agency and the Coast Guard intercepted him after checking his documents while trying to enter Gibraltar.
