1,402 new coronavirus cases were recorded in Morocco during the past 24 hours, bringing the total number of Covid-19 infections in the country to 66,855.
866 new recoveries were recorded in the past 24 hours, bringing the total number of recoveries in the Kingdom to 51,223.
37 deaths were recorded between yesterday and today, bringing the total number of deaths to 1,253.
The country now has 14,379 active cases under treatment. The number of critically ill patients reached 193, including 47 on ventilators.
Casablanca-Settat comes first with 496 : 359 in Casablanca, 33 in Mohammedia, 31 in Nouaceur, 18 in El Jadida, 17 in Berrechid, 17 in Settat, 10 in Médiouna, 8 in Sidi Bennour and 3 in Benslimane.
Next comes Marrakech-Safi with 191 new cases : 165 in Marrakech, 10 in Youssoufia, 8 in Essaouira, 6 in Rhamna and 2 in Al Haouz. Third comes Drâa-Tafilalet with 147 infections : 80 in Errachidia, 35 in Ouarzazate, 30 in Midelt and 2 in Zagora.
The region of Fez-Meknes confirmed 147 new infections : 57 in Fez, 31 in Taza, 23 in Meknes, 11 in Boulemane, 9 in El Hajeb, 6 in Taounate, 5 in Ifrane, 3 in Sefrou and 2 in Moulay Yacoub. Rabat-Salé-Kénitra recorded 134 cases : 44 in Kénitra, 26 in Rabat, 25 in Salé, 17 in Skhirate-Témara, 12 in Sidi Kacem, 7 in Sidi Slimane and 3 in Khemisset.
Tanger-Tétouan-Al Hoceïma follows with 89 additional infections : 36 in Tanger-Asilah, 29 in Tetouan, 10 in Al Hoceïma, 8 in M'diq-Fnideq, 4 in Larache, 1 in Ouezzane and 1 in Chefchaouen. Dakhla-Oued Ed Dahab has confirmed 72 infections, all in Oued Ed Dahab province.
In Souss-Massa, 54 cases have been confirmed : 25 in Agadir Ida Outanane, 10 in Tata, 9 in Inezgane Aït Melloul, 5 in Tiznit, 4 in Chtouka Aït Baha and 1 in Taroudant. For its part, Beni Mellal-Khénifra for recorded 35 infections : 13 in Beni Mellal, 9 in Khouribga, 9 in Fqih Ben Salah and 4 in Khénifra.
In the Oriental region, 24 infections have been confirmed : 16 in Oujda-Angad, 3 in Nador, 2 in Figuig, 2 in Guercif and 1 in Driouch. Laayoune-Es Sakia El Hamra counted 12 : 9 in Es Semara and 3 in Laâyoune. In Guelmim-Oued Noun, the only identified case was confirmed in Assa Zag.
