Coronavirus : 1,386 new infections recorded in 9 regions of Morocco

1,394 new coronavirus cases were recorded in Morocco during the past 24 hours, bringing the total number of Covid-19 infections in the country to 73,780.

822 new recoveries were recorded in the past 24 hours, bringing the total number of recoveries in the Kingdom to 56,096.

33 deaths were recorded between yesterday and today, bringing the total number of deaths to 1,394. These deaths were recorded in Casablanca (12), Marrakech (5), Agadir (2), Fez (2), Errachidia (2), Ouarzazate (2), El Jadida (1), Zagora (1), Meknès (1) ), Tangier-Assilah (1), Tétouan (1), Ouazzane (1), Khouribga (1) and Azilal (1).

The country now has 16,290 active cases under treatment. The number of critically ill patients reached 202, including 40 on ventilators.

Casablanca-Settat region comes first, with 560 new cases : 416 in Casablanca, 31 in Berrechid, 30 in Nouaceur, 30 in El Jadida, 17 in Mediouna, 16 in Mohammedia, 15 in Settat and 5 in Benslimane.

Next comes the Rabat-Salé-Kénitra region with 268 new infections: 126 in Salé, 49 in Kénitra, 32 in Rabat, 32 in Skhirat-Témara, 20 in Sidi Kacem, 8 in Khemisset and one case in Sidi Slimane.

Drâa-Tafilalet follows with 178 new cases : 57 in Midelt, 51 in Ouarzazate, 30 in Zagora, 29 in Errachidia and 11 in Tighir.

In Marrakech-Safi, 131 new cases were recorded : 65 in Marrakech, 30 in Kelaa des Sraghna, 17 in Youssoufia, 6 cases in the province of Rhamna, 6 cases in Chichaoua, 5 in Safi and 2 in Essaouira.

71 cases were recorded in the Fez-Meknes region : 29 in Fez, 16 in Meknes, 7 in El Hajeb, 7 in Sefrou, 5 in Taounate, 4 in Ifrane and 3 in Taza.

For its part, Tanger-Tétouan-Al Hoceima confirmed 66 new infections : 26 in Tanger-Asilah, 22 in Tétouan, 5 in Chefchaouen, 4 in Al Hoceima, 4 in Larache, 3 in M'diq -Fnideq and 2 cases in Ouazzane.

For its part, Beni Mellal-Khénifra recorded 52 cases : 30 in Beni Mellal, 11 in Khénifra, 6 in Khouribga and 5 in Fqih Bensaleh.

There are also 44 cases recorded in Dakhla (Dakhla-Oued Ed-Dahab) and 16 cases recorded in the Oriental region (12 in Oujda-Angad and 4 in Guercif).

Guelmim-Oued Noun, Laâyoune-Sakia El Hamra and Souss-Massa regions have not recorded any cases in the last 24 hours.
